EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR DENIM
Did you know the denim production process has a big impact on the environment? By following these tips, you can make your denim last longer and increase the sustainability of your next denim purchase!
- Wash less. You don’t need to wash your jeans every time you wear them—really! This will add YEARS to your denim.
- Wash inside-out in cold water. This will help preserve the dyes and finishing techniques you love about your favorite pair.
- Avoid the dryer. The heat can break down denim fibers faster. Instead, let your jeans air dry after washing.
- Repair before you replace! Bring your well-worn blues to a tailor or follow some of our upcycling hacks from American Butt Clothing before you toss them aside.
- Recycle! By turning in your denim at The Avenue West Cobb this season, we can extend the life of discarded denim.
