The Retail Sales Leader is responsible for providing exemplary customer service and serves as a role model of best practices in sales and service.

The Retail Sales Leader is responsible for overseeing the operational functioning of the store in partnership with the Store Manager. He/she holds an added leadership role and is expected to share knowledge, communicate goals and daily priorities, read and share store and corporate communications, and manage daily tasks. The RSL will operate and lead in 1 of 4 DORs assigned by the SM and must have the availability to support that DOR. The RSL is also responsible for developing a SA into the RSL candidate.

The Retail Sales Leader’s primary duties are, but are not limited to:

1. Drive Results: Retail Sales Leader is responsible for knowing all aspects of store business and metrics; and in absence of store manager, is responsible for setting goals. He/she will drive revenue, proactively oversee customer experience, maintain a high level of customer service, execute opening/closing responsibilities by company standards. The RSL will provide support to employees through sharing knowledge and coaching to ensure that customers remain at the highest priority while balancing tasks. When serving as the closing leader, RSL is responsible for the store achieving its sales goal.
2. Customer Service and Product Knowledge: Proactively engages customers and assists in fulfilling their needs by building relationships and sharing product knowledge. Works closely with the store management to improve the customer experience and broaden knowledge to drive results.
3. Operational Excellence: Responsible for ensuring both the selling floor and backroom are clean, neat and orderly every day. The RSL will have access to store funds and products and will be held accountable for following procedures and keeping accurate records. Participates and leads others in processing of shipments, replenishment of the selling floor and additional tasks.
4. The RSL will utilize company guidelines to make effective merchandising decisions and hold the store to standard.
5. Training and Performance: The RSL will assist in the onboarding of new employees by providing customer service and operations training. He/she will assist the SM in the implementation of new policies, operational changes, and training. Participate in new technology implementation and training as requested.

Qualifications
• Two or more years of sales lead experience preferred
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and planning skills as well as effective management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with technology is required; computer-based training expertise is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including, but not limited to, holidays, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder and carry up to 40 pounds; i.e., fixture parts and cartons of product.
• Must be proficient in all duties and competencies listed above.
